About us

Welcome to Cri's Vintage Store, where you can find a wide selection of vintage ties from the '40s and '50s. All pieces in our collection are of American origin and reflect the Swing and rockabilly style of those years, with the extravagant color combinations typical of the Art Deco style of the era.

The original components of this style were the simplicity of abstract geometric forms, inspired by the patterns of architectures typical of Aztec, Maya, Indian, Egyptian cultures, and the colorful Japanese floral designs. Unique shapes like zigzags, ellipses, sunrays, explosions, and various stylizations were the typical expression of the speed of progress and the advancement of the modern era.

Another important characteristic of Art Deco was color, used in extravagant combinations and pairings, which made all ties produced in the '40s and '50s so recognizable. To enhance these bizarre chromatic combinations and the design of forms, the best fabrics were carefully selected, and the choice fell on materials such as silk and rayon, which proved to be the most suitable for giving ties definition and luminosity.

In our collection of American ties, you can find various patterns such as geometric shapes, Hawaiian images, floral designs, exotic birds in various fabric types and color tones. All our ties are from the best American brands of the time, including Arrow, Van Heusen, Pilgrim, Wilson, Beau Brummell, Wembley, Cheney, Marathon, Riviera Cravats, Regal, Hollyvogue, Towncraft, and more.

In Cri's Vintage Store, you'll also find a series of original tie clips of various types and retro-style women's handbags.
